Welcome Back/Intro to Scouting

Calling all scouts and aspiring adventurers! Join us for our Welcome Back & Open House event. This is the perfect opportunity for new families to learn what scouting is all about and see the fun in action. You'll get to meet our leaders, ask questions, and see firsthand the games, skills, and camaraderie that make scouting a rewarding experience. For our returning scouts, it's a chance to reconnect with your friends and get excited for the year ahead!

Rocket Rally

When: September 19, 2025

Time: 6:45 pm- 8:00 pm

Where: Brooks United Methodist Church

Get ready to blast off into a world of fun and adventure at our Rocket Rally Pack Meeting! This meeting will be packed with exciting activities, including:

Rocket Building: Scouts will have a chance to build and decorate their very own model rockets.

Launch Pad Games: We'll play games that test our speed and agility, just like a real space mission.

Space-Themed Snacks: Enjoy out-of-this-world treats that are sure to be a hit with every scout.

Join us for an evening of teamwork, creativity, and high-flying fun as we explore the wonders of space and the spirit of scouting!

Spook-O-Ree

Bring your family for a weekend of camping and spooky fun. Get ready for the haunted trail, hay rides, BB guns, archery, and more!

Turkey Shoot

When: November 14, 2025

Time: 6:45 pm- 8:00 pm

Where: Brooks United Methodist Church

Join us for some friendly competition at our annual Turkey Target Fun Shoot! Cub Scouts will test their aim using bows and arrows they've crafted themselves. Instead of real turkeys, we'll be aiming at fun, colorful turkey targets.

Get ready for an afternoon of:

Homemade Bow and Arrow Showcase: Show off your creativity and craftsmanship!

Target Practice: Learn and improve your archery skills in a safe and supervised environment.

Friendly Competition: Compete for fun prizes – maybe even a Thanksgiving-themed treat or a cool outdoor gadget!

Safety First! All shooting will be closely supervised by trained leaders to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

Let's see who can hit the bullseye and become the Turkey Target Champion!

Fayetteville Christmas Parade

Make a Difference at Our Charity Auction!

You're invited to a special event to support the Church Food Pantry. Let's come together as a community and raise money to help those in need!

What to Bring:

We are holding a charity auction and are asking for your help. Please bring an item to be auctioned off. Get creative! Your item could be anything from a basket of homemade baked goods to a themed gift basket of toys or games.

Who to Bring:

This is a family-friendly event, so please bring all family members who would like to join in the fun and bidding!

Your participation makes a real difference in our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wreaths Across America

Pinewood Derby Build Clinic

When: January 10, 2026

Time: 10:00 am- 12:00 pm

Where: Brooks United Methodist Church

Get ready to race! Our annual build clinic is where Scouts can come together and get their cars in top-notch shape. We'll provide everything you need, from tools to expert tips, to ensure their car is ready for race day.

Pinewood Derby Check-in

When: February 6, 2026

Time: 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm

Where: Brooks United Methodist Church

Check in for the Pinewood derby will begin at 5 PM and will commence once the Blue and Gold Banquet is over. There will be a repair table with wheels, axles, and graphite in case your scout's car needs final adjustments. No adjustments will be allowed once check in is complete.
